Colloquy – Bethel’s new undergraduate scholarly journal

Colloquy

Last spring, Abby Stocker realized something while she was at the Making Literature conference at Taylor University that opened her eyes to a whole new world. Being immersed in a community of students discussing and sharing ideas with each other was exciting and inspired her to provide a way for this kind of conversation to happen at Bethel. With some of her fellow English majors, Leah Patton, Brad Cox, Jacob Manning, Roberta Fultz, Jared Hedges, and Stacie Lewis, and support from the English department, she founded Colloquy, Bethel’s first undergraduate peer-reviewed, scholarly journal.

Out of twenty-five initial submissions the journal’s editors chose to publish seven articles from disciplines as varied as Math, Communication Studies, Biblical and Theological Studies, and their own discipline, Literary Criticism.
